We have the league’s best coach, the league’s best backcourt, mature leaders, the best group of three (Hoggard, Walker, and Hauser - and either Akins or Hall could have bumped into the top 3 if they had stayed healthy), and (I believe) the league’s best 3-point shooting team.

While Purdue might seem the logical pick, I don’t trust Painter’s teams to play well toward the season’s end. They seem fall apart in the latter part of the season about as consistently as Izzo’s teams come together.

I don’t believe that Woodson or Underwood are strong bets to lead their teams to titles.

I believe once Northwestern and PSU win a game they will be satisfied that they are making the tourney.

I actually believe UM is a threat because Howard has shown that his teams can do well in tournaments, but since they play on Thursday, I don’t see them winning 4 in a row.

Iowa won last year, but I don’t respect Fran enough to expect him to do it twice in a row.

I agree with you. I don’t know if I’d say MSU is a favorite for me but maybe second best odds? For all the reasons you stated. I think IU and UM are my next two in that order. But just as Rod said in our show (which isn’t out yet) you can imagine just about anyone winning this thing.
