Welcome to The Final Four Is Not on the Schedule discussion board. A forum for the serious and casual MSU fan. Opinions welcome – stay respectful.
We have the number two ranked bracketologist coming on the show in a few days. We will ask him about the process, MSUs seeding and Big Ten in general.
if you can think of anything else please leave ideas below.
would be curious to know how the Minnesota factor might play into seeding. Have not played them yet (U-M, Illinois, Maryland have already played them twice -- and won -- and are all either tied with or half game ahead of MSU) and to date, the game that was scheduled has not been rescheduled. though not a gauranteed win, it certainly seems quite likely that MSU would beat them (especially at home). That is a "win" that may not appear in the win column and potentially hurt final standings in Big Ten and seedings
My question would be about Izzo’s general approach to the season. He at times seems to risk losing a battle (a game) that might help him win the war (March tournaments). MSU does not have as many lopsided wins as they might because throughout Izzo tinkers with lineups and gives freshmen extra playing time when they get a relatively safe lead. Am I wrong in the way I see what Izzo is doing and does the lack of big blowouts hurt a team’s seeding?
