I expect PB to have a great game tomorrow. He’s going to hit some shots.
I would be really happy if Brooks finished with a stat line like 8 pts., 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. I also hope he shows that he can defend. I believe he can hit shots, but he is going to need to do more.
Super challenging assignment defensively for Brooks. I think he will cause all sorts of problems for Alabama on the offensive side especially on the boards where he seems to cause more disruption. I keep harping on it but I suspect we get a big dose of Whitens and a not zero chance of getting Cooper to play some significant minutes. With three games in 4 days and very limited depth it will be a real challenge for sure.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Holloman has a breakout game. I think he could be a Walton-like defender who can guard 1-3, and he might be a more capable scorer. Anyway, someone is going to have to step up.
@hazelmotes against a lot of opponents, I’d say he could handle the 3. Tonight, might be a bridge too far, given Miller’s size. I think he’s going to have to play though.
Brooks vs. Alabama was 2-6 from the field and 1-4 from 3 and still played 34 minutes.
Brooks vs. Oregon was 6-16 from the field and 3-11 from 3 and played 35 minutes. It felt that he was better than 3-11.
Both teams have a ton length of course. He was likely a little nervous in the Alabama game and it did feel that he was tentative and passed on a few shots. He didn't pass on many opportunities in the Oregon game and I think it was clear that we were better with him shooting open shots vs. passing on them.
