- Solid job in terms of defensive rebounding...NAU with only a 21% OReb% in that half and really, a couple of the ones they got were flukey.
- Nice to see Akins playing and looking healthy.
- Tyson not hitting but needs to remain aggressive offensively. That's what MSU needs from him and the shots will start falling, of that I have little doubt.
- 6 steals from MSU, with 5 coming from the guards. A continuation of the defensive activity in the GVSU game.
- MSU doing a decent job taking care of the ball, with only 5 TOs, and they played a lot of that half without Hoggard due to fouls. That's both impressive as a team and an impressive job by freshman Tre Holloman, who continues to look right at home as a first year point guard. Honestly, the thought that Tyson Walker would see the majority of the backup point minutes looks more questionable by the day, IMO.
I am really appreciating Hoggard today. It seems like our offensive droughts happen when he is off the floor.
Holloman blocks shots, defends, rebounds, and runs the point fairly well.
Interesting to see the fire from Hall today.
Love that Kohler (9), Hall (7), Hauser (10) and Sissoko (6) combine for 32 rebounds.
Also like Walker collecting a few.
I look forward to Rod and Eric’s postgame commentary!
I thought Walker was MSU’s best player despite the missed shots. He was that good defensively.
Thought Sissoko continued to look much more assured and under control.
Pleased with the game overall.
@rook-34 You could make a good case for Walker because of the defensive end and in terms of how aggressive he stayed on offense.
