It is now a constant theme among the refs for making sure that Maddy is called for at least 2 fouls/game that are either touch calls or the ridicuolous propotion like Zach Edey swinging him to the ground.  Makes it very hard to be aggressive and solid at the same time.  Extremely difficult game to lose (given all the circumstances).  Yet beyond the extraordinarily rough start, played hard enough and almost well enough to get over the top.  It is very disappointing that several calls -- especially in such a close and tight game -- made it even hader to beat a very good Purdue team (who beyond Zach Edy is not going to beat a more talented, athletic team come tournament time...)
