The Class 2.0?
The defensive potential is what I love out of this. With his size, I truly think guarding 1-5 and doing it well is in the cards. Curios how long the arms are.

@spartyd23 just went through it on the podcast…I think it’s close. Tall order to match the on court standard but let’s hope we see it.
@mgc_07 haven’t seen a wingspan yet but I agree…defense with that kind of versatility can be such a huge positive.
I just see these four guys and imagine how much fun it will be watching them break down the court. Even if it’s not Fears feeding them next year much you can see so much potential with this fast break. It will be like the Ager and Brown years.
Going to be a lot of fun to watch this kid.
I can't wait to see & hear Breslin explode when this kid takes flight!

NBA Draft analysis says Carr could easily be a lottery talent
@loomin_knotty I guess I’m inclined to think Carr as a Lottery guy in ‘24 is probably a bit optimistic 😉
The Class 2.0?
It's an interesting comp. I think the key difference is that coming into the 16/17 season, is that "the class" was expected to shoulder a big load right away because of the roster makeup and what MSU lost coming into the season. Xavier Booker will start for sure, but Normand and Carr probably won't, and Fears definitely won't (barring anything crazy unforeseen).
And, for comparison sake, I wonder what the class of 24 will end up looking like. Izzo went all in with JJJ and XT in 2017 to compliment what he had with "the class", I wonder if he goes all in on two highly regarded guys again to compliment what he's already got there. Seemed to work out once or twice....
But... I was told only Juwan Howard could recruit nationally and that Tom needed to retire??? 🤣 🤣 🤣
Izzo has it rolling and he has this team set up for deep runs in March for the next several years.
