Per Rod's comments at the end of the last Pod on fan attendance being disappointing. I went to all 3 games and have a couple notes:

1) Tickets were sold similar to the NCAA tournament where you have to buy a two game session, MSU games were all the second game of the session so most first game fans left after vs. (like we did) come early for some of the first game and stay for the second. I really think this was the main cause for the sparse crowd because there were not large amount of good seats left on sale at tip off nor at cheap prices.

2) MSU turn out was STRONG. Alabama only had their family behind the bench, we out numbered Oregon significantly and were way louder, Portland was the only true 50/50 game.

3) Due to this being a big Nike event and in Niketown, I got the vibe a lot of tickets were given out free to Nike employees and possibly not used. I might be wrong but just a decent amount of people without any college gear on with good seats.

good info. I would still suggest that even taking those elements into consideration, it speaks volumes about Oregon’s fanbase.
