A tough, gritty victory against Wisconsin last night. Observations:

The Spartans were dialed in at the end of that game. Down by 5 with 3:53 left, the Spartans just kept coming. AJ Hoggard gave off some serious Cassius vibes driving the lane and scoring down the stretch.

Joey Hauser continues to be an important presence on the glass. Hauser, along with Walker, (both played 36 minutes) are the workhorses of this team right now. I wonder if those kinds of minutes are sustainable for either of those guys throughout the season.

Sure glad they didn’t redshirt Carson Cooper. His play so far has exceeded most expectations. Before the season, there were a lot of concerns about the 5. The Sissoko/Kohler/Cooper triumvirate seems to be holding its own.

Malik Hall looked great posting up against single coverage. Power and footwork. Our opponents may have to double on Hall to keep him in check. Even though he came off the bench, Hall logged 27 minutes - more than starters Akins and Sissoko. As long as we keep playing good and winning, I wouldn’t suspect that Izzo will change the starting lineup even with Hall’s apparent full health and impact. It’s a real bonus for the Spartans to have Hall’s kind of talent coming off the bench.

Great road win!

Go Green!

I suspect you’re right about the starting lineup. For now, no reason to change anything.
