@troy-mcclure You knew exactly what I was talking about with that 2007 Wisconsin game. I can remember it clear as day that they let the fight song play back to back, with no commentary, and the entire Breslin singing and clapping and it was LOUD! I have not seen that anywhere else sense. It was like with 30 seconds left and Bo Ryan took a timeout or something, and the game was over, so ESPN just let it roll. Musburger was great on the call that night too with Neitzel going off. If anyone needs a great refresher, here is the clip of the game...

@spartan-warrior because it was peak “Michigan is back!”’hype and along with IU, they were sucking up all the oxygen in terms of media attention. Meanwhile, MSU had a very good team of their own.

Here highlights from that 2013 game. Perhaps the fact that both teams were ranked in the top 10 when they were playing each other, a first, played a role in the intense environment. Watching these highlights reminded me of just how good Appling was before he injured his hand.
