Eventually they'd get a commit. Kind of seems like they're behind since MSU is so far down the class almost having it wrapped up at this time.

He likes his big men doesn't he? Sounds like he is sort of another Diabate-like player in plans to put a 6-10 guy at the 4.

He’s a pretty fast rising guy. I think top 35 in On3’s latest update 

MSU showed some interest awhile ago but hadn’t been involved since early in the spring. 

been a very slow start for Howard in ‘23.  As Eric said, he was bound to get somebody eventually but they’ve got some ground to make up or else it’s likely to be another heavy portal year. 

Howard seems to have good luck recruiting big men, but he does less well with guards, especially PGs. Bufkin’s lack of development, the mishandling of Frankie Collins, and his tendency to bring in transfers to replace his recruited guards is not likely to help. I hear he is praising Dug McDaniel, his new 5’11’ PG, but I am skeptical that he will bring much as a freshman. And if Howard gets impatient again and brings in another transfer PG, I wouldn’t be surprised to see McDaniel go the way of Collins. 

@hazelmotes I’m going to need to see that kid play well before I buy in. Perception of his game dropped like a rock during his last year and word is he can’t shoot. 

Michigan added George Washington III to its 2023 class. I believe he had committed to OSU earlier, but decomitted. OSU got a higher rated guard soon after his recommitment.
